Waimakariri water meeting

You’ve invited to join locals talking big water issues in Waimakariri, 6.30pm Monday August 29th at Mandeville.
Come hear Don Hunt from Waterforce in Ohoka share his huge knowledge of how local water flows in a wet winter like this one.
He’ll also talk about the likely impact of housing growth on our drainage systems – urban and rural.
Don has lived in Ohoka with family for 38 years and has 40+ years involved in the water industry as a contractor, consultant and engineer.
He has also been involved in farm irrigation development, rural and municipal water supplies, water treatment, stockwater systems.
Don will be joined by another longtime local, Doug Nicholl, chair of the Ohoka Rural Drainage Committee and outgoing chair of the Oxford/Ohoka Community Board.
